Hello to everyone reading my blog today. I have been away for a little while, and I have a lot of catching up to do. I have purchased and recieved a few of the lamaze toys within the past couple of weeks. My wife and decided to get the Jacques the Peacock, the lamaze first mirror, and the musical inchworm.

When the lamaze toys arrived I was probably more excited than a child would probably be. I was definately ready to she how our daughter would react to the peacock. During some of my research I read a few reviews where some consumers said that their child was afraid of the peacock and started crying when they first saw it. Our daughter didn’t cry or anything like that but she was surely not interested in it at all. It took a couple of days for her to start playing with it. I would have to say now that it is fast becoming one of her favorite things to mess with. Although she isn’t able to fully play with the toy the way it is supposed to be played with she seems like she is really intrigued by it. As of right now the mirror and the inchworm rarely gets any use.

I would have to say that so far I can see a little bit of difference in the things that she chooses to be curious about. If anyone who has had children knows that toys are usually one of the last things that they want to pick up. They mainly want remote controls, haircombs, or other household things that they shouldn’t have. In my opinion I would have to say so far so good with the lamaze toys, Jacques the Peacock in particular.

Hello again everyone. I have been doing a lot of research on the Lamaze toys that I have recently found out about. I mentioned before that the Lamaze toys are broken down into different stages of development during the early years of your baby’s life. Here is how the stages are broken down and how the Lamaze toy line assists during that stage in the child’s development:
STAGE 1
Birth to 6 months- At birth babies see in black and white, and they also can only see things that are right in front of them. Babies in this stage do not hear very well either. The Lamaze toys in this stage center on developing these senses with bright colors and toys that make noises
STAGE 2
6 to 9 months- This is stage that I love the most. This is when your child is starting to experiment and get into things that they aren’t supposed to. During this stage of your child’s life you can never seem to find the remote control and the cordless phone is always off of the hook. They toys offered during this stage involve letting your baby experiment with different parts of the toy.
STAGE 3
9 to 24 months- This stage is when babies are the most mobile. Their motor skills are rapidly advancing at this point. They are really learning a lot of things such as their shapes, different sounds, and recognizing colors. The toys at this stage are developed to help them recognize patterns, sounds, and matching shapes.
This concludes my introduction to the Lamaze Infant Development System. I am so excited about these toys. I should be receiving my first order early next week. Like I mentioned before I will be expressing my opinions about each Lamaze toy that we receive.
Thanks for reading.

Hello everyone out there in blog world. I have recently learned about some cool products that have probably been around for a while, but is very new to me. The products are Lamaze Toys or the Lamaze Infant Development System.
Like I mentioned earlier I am pretty sure this has been around for a while, but it is something that I have recently found out about. I find Lamaze toys very interesting, because it is actually designed to help parents choose toys that are appropriate for the child depending on which developmental stage the child is in.
The Infant Development System basically separates the first 24 months into three stages:
Stage One- birth to 6 months
Stage Two- 6 months to 9 months
Stage Three- 9 months to 24 months
The Lamaze toys system also has lots of books, activities, and other toys that go beyond 24 months they are just not categorized into different stages like the toys for the younger child. Each Lamaze toy in this system is designed to help your child develop certain motor skills and also helps your child develop good habits. For example the Stack & Spin Rings helps your child develop their hand eye coordination as well as stimulates the child’s eyes with its colorful rings and ribbons. The Lamaze Jacques the Peacock is designed to stimulate your child’s vision and auditory skills.
The Lamaze toy system or Infant Development System seems to be a far superior line of toys for your child, than the traditional type of toys from the other major toy manufacturers, in my opinion. This is not to say that other types of toys are obsolete or are not any good, because they still do have a place in your child’s young life. I should also mention that all of the Lamaze toys included in the first three stages of the Infant Development System are soft, plush toys that are non-breakable.
I am personally going to order most of these toys and see first hand myself if this line of toys is all it is cracked up to be. I will be posting updates and reviews for the toys that I order here on this blog. The first one I will be doing is the peacock, since it is part of stage one in the system and my child is 4 months old. If you are interested in this line of toys check back here often and read my reviews of the toys.
